Finely polished black tigers eye crystals from Namibia.
These premium-grade tumbled stones exhibit subtle markings, and many are fascinatingly chatoyant. Chatoyance is an optical phenomenon that occurs in several minerals, but is best known in tigers eye.
It can be seen as light reflects off the stone’s fibrous structure, inclusions, or internal cavities. When moved around very gently, colour and markings appear to move.
Being highly polished, these black tigers eye tumbled stones have an incredibly smooth, silky texture, so they're wonderfully tactile.
We currently only have a small quantity left available. Sizes are mostly medium, although, being produced in a rock tumbler, size does vary from piece to piece.
