Rainbow Fluorite Sphere Larger Size

A wonderfully colourful rainbow fluorite sphere.  This piece is slightly larger than other fluorite spheres that we currently have in our collection.

The first three photos were taken with natural daylight from an adjacent window.  In the last two we used studio lighting. 

Whilst it may be tempting to display rainbow fluorite close to a sunny window, colours may fade when exposed to UV light for any length of time. Excessive heat can also affect the colour of fluorite. 

An incredible amount of skill goes into creating any crystal sphere but fluorite is more difficult than most.

Not only is this mineral soft but it also chips and fractures very easily.

This crystal sphere has a vitreous lustre so reflects light from every angle.

It's standing on a polished hematite ring which is a perfect support for most medium sized spheres.  It's not included with the sphere but is available to purchase.
