Ladies charoite pendant featuring an impressive gemstone with rich purple colour and fascinating markings. Charoite is a highly sought after mineral that's not particularly well known outside of Russia. Found in Siberia, it was first discovered in 1947 but was not introduced to the outside world until 1978.
A relatively hard stone that's generally quite easy to recognise, it's popular as a lapidary material but is not available in any great abundance. Being opaque means that charoite gemstones tend to be cut as cabochons and finding the finest grade material to use in jewellery can be a challenge.
This charoite gemstone boasts an exemplary polish which can't really be fully appreciated in our photo. The slightly white patch on the lower left side of the stone is a reflection from our studio lighting.
Mounted in a sterling silver setting that has been crafted by hand, this ladies charoite pendant has been reduced because the ring and the bale at the top have not been centered accurately although you'll need look closely to notice.
As with all of the ladies pendants in our Bargain Basement, this charoite pendant is being offered with a significant discount and providing you're not put off by a minor imperfection, you won't be disappointed. Having said that should you not be totally satisfied with any item that you purchase from Stone Mania, it may be returned for a full refund (T&C's apply).
