Seraphinite Pendant | Jewellery Sale
Seraphinite pendant featuring an exquisite polished cabochon mounted in a carefully crafted sterling silver setting. Seraphinite is a relatively rare gemstone that comes exclusively from Russia. It's quite easy to identify because of its distinctive green colour and white inclusions of the mineral mica which often radiate outwards and give the stone a feather-like appearance. For this reason in the world of crystal healing seraphinite is synonymous with heavenly beings and more specifically angels.
Belonging to the group of minerals known as clinochlore, seraphinite is a trade name for the material that's used primarily for lapidary purposes. It is however very soft and grades just 2 to 2½ on Mohs scale of mineral hardness and to put that into perspective, just slightly lower on the scale at 1 is the clay mineral talc which is used to make talcum powder. Seraphinite can certainly be enjoyed for the beautiful gemstone that it is providing it's handled carefully.
The reason for this seraphinite pendant being added to our collection of jewellery on sale in the Bargain Basement is because the cabochon that we chose is not perfectly symmetrical although you'll need to look closely to notice. When designing ladies pendants for our collection we look for stones that we hope our customers will love and sometimes that means using pieces with minor quirks or anomalies but that just makes them all the more unique.
This elegant pendant comes in a colourful gift pouch that will help to protect the stone from inadvertent marks and scratches as well as minimising any build-up of tarnish on the sterling silver.
