Ladies charoite pendant featuring an impressive gemstone with distinctive colour and fascinating markings. Charoite is a highly sought after mineral that's not particularly well known outside of Russia. Found in Siberia, it was first discovered in 1947 but was not introduced to the outside world until 1978.
A relatively hard mineral that's generally quite easy to recognise, it's popular as a lapidary material but is not available in any great abundance. Being opaque means that charoite gemstones tend to be cut as cabochons and finding the finest grade material to use in jewellery can be a real challenge.
This highly polished charoite gemstone makes an eye-catching and unique piece of ladies jewellery that's been crafted entirely by hand. It has been added to our collection of sale jewellery in the Bargain Basement because the ring and bale at the top of the sterling silver setting have not not been centered accurately although you'll need look very closely to notice.
As with all of our jewellery on sale, should you not be totally satisfied with this charoite pendant it may be returned for a full refund (T&C's apply). For those not bothered about a minor imperfection in a hand crafted piece of jewellery, this charoite pendant certainly won't disappoint.
