Capillitas Mining District Argentina
The Capillitas Mine in Argentina is home to some of the world's largest rhodochrosite stalactites. The mine is located in the Capillitas mining district at an altitude of 10,000 feet which has always presented its fair share of challenges.
The world famous banded rhodochrosite that's found in the Capillitas Mine was first described in 1873 and was given the name Inca Rose Rhodochrosite.
