Rich pink coloured mookaite pendant crafted in a polished sterling silver setting.
Mookaite is a trade name for Australian Jasper which is a naturally occurring stone that can only be found in Australia. Although known by several different names all of which strangely enough are quite similar, Mookaite tends to be the one that's used most often in Europe.
This highly polished cabochon boasts unique markings and exceptional colour. Despite its size it has been finely cut which ensures the pendant is not too chunky.
Like most varieties of jasper, mookaite is an opaque stone that's popular as a lapidary material because it's quite hard which makes it relatively easy to work with. Mookaite tumbled stones are widely used in crystal healing and are also sought after by collectors because of their exceptional colour and exemplary polish.
