Kambaba Jasper Pendant
Kambaba Jasper pendant crafted for Stone Mania in a fine sterling silver setting. This ladies pendant features a highly polished cabochon with distinctive colour and markings and as with all of the gemstone pendants in our collection, it has been crafted by hand by one of a small team of talented artisans with whom we've been working for many years.
This variety of jasper can only be found in Madagascar and is used primarily for lapidary purposes. When cut as a cabochon it takes on a relatively high polish and tends to be more popular during the autumn and winter months. There's generally minimal colour variation from one stone to the next and the black orb-like markings give many pieces a wonderfully dramatic appearance.
The geological make-up of Kambaba Jasper stems from a stromatolite which is a rock-like structure that forms in shallow seas that's built up from bacteria which has gradually over many years, been replaced by silica. Some of these fossils are believed to date back around three billion years and for this reason in crystal healing Kambaba Jasper is said to be a deeply earthing stone which harmonises the wearer to the natural cycles of the earth.
Being light weight makes this Kambaba Jasper pendant particularly comfortable to wear and it's a great choice for anyone who likes distinctive and slightly more unusual gemstone varieties.
