A rather unique and special charoite pendant from our collection of crystals rocks and minerals. This highly polished cabochon is almost unrecognisable as the mineral charoite which is the very reason it attracted our attention.
Charoite is a natural stone that's best known for its rich purple colour and impressive swirling patterns but neither characteristic is present in this piece. It's usually a mineral that's easy to identify on sight alone because of it's distinctive colour and markings but every now and then you come across a unique piece like this.
Charoite is found in just one location in Russia and cannot be found anywhere else on Earth. It was kept a well guarded secret until 1978 but after finally having found its way out of the country word about this new mineral spread quickly. Charoite is still not available in any great abundance and the finest grade of stone can be difficult to find especially outside of Russia.
This unique charoite pendant has been crafted for Stone Mania in a fine sterling silver setting.
