Fossilized Coral Pendant
Fossilised Coral aka Petoskey Stone
Two fossilized coral pendants crafted by hand in timeless sterling silver. Fossilized coral cabochons of this size and grade don't come along every day and despite the size of these pendants they're neither chunky or heavy. The reason for that is because of the way the cabochons have been cut and also because fossilised coral is relatively light weight. This unmistakable gemstone is a fantastic example of Mother Nature's artwork and is sure to attract plenty of attention.
Fossilized coral dates back approximately 350 million years and is found primarily in Indonesia and on the shores around Lake Michigan in the USA. Stones from Lake Michigan are better known as Petoskey Stone after the coastal city of Petoskey.
This gemstone is not seen that often in items of jewellery and both cabochons were cut and polished exclusively for Stone Mania from an original piece of rock.
A pendant of this size makes a unique piece of jewellery and one that's definitely not for the faint hearted. Before proceeding to checkout you'll need to make your choice from the dropdown list. Both gemstones are almost identical so any difference in colour will either be because of the lighting or the angle at which the photographs were taken. The only difference between the two is that the fossilised coral pendant in our first three photographs is one millimetre wider. Weights and sizes of each piece can be found in the dropdown list.
