Kambaba Jasper Pendant
Unique Stones from Madagascar
Kambaba Jasper pendant crafted for Stone Mania in a fine sterling silver setting. This striking ladies pendant features a square shaped cabochon with soft rounded corners. Comfortably light weight it comes in a colourful gift pouch that will help to protect the stone and minimise any build up of tarnish. Using a blue coloured silver cloth occasionally will also ensure the metal remains bright and tarnish free.
This variety of jasper can only be found in Madagascar and is used primarily for lapidary purposes. The geological make-up of Kambaba Jasper stems from a stromatolite which is a rock-like structure that forms in shallow seas. It's made up of bacteria that has gradually over many years been replaced by silica. Some of these fossils are believed to date back around three billion years.
Kambaba Jasper is a unique material that cannot accurately be described as a mineral in its own right because as with all varieties of jasper, it includes a large percentage of other minerals and substances.
The Kamababa Jasper cabochons featured in our collection of ladies pendants have all been individually chosen by one of our team.
