Sodalite Crystals (white)
Sodalite Crystals Included with Calcite
These royal blue sodalite tumbled stones are beautifully polished and quite distinctive yet this mineral is often mistaken for lapis lazuli. As well as being used in conjunction with alternative therapies such as crystal healing, sodalite is also popular with mineral collectors. Stones often occur with a splash or white or orange colour caused by the presence of the mineral calcite and these stones are widely used for lapidary purposes.
Sodalite which takes its name from its high sodium content is a light weight, affordable mineral that's used almost exclusively for ornamental purposes. It's graded 5½ to 6 on Mohs scale of mineral hardness which makes it quite durable but that said, it's also brittle which can make cutting quite difficult.
As with all rocks and minerals there are different grades and when buying sodalite crystals for our collection, we only buy the finest grade that's available.
Although the size of these sodalite stones is classified as medium, weights and sizes do vary from piece to piece which is the case with all tumbled stones.
Empathic warrior crystals are stones which have at some point in time sustained some kind of damage, usually a chip or fracture. With rocks and minerals having evolved over millions of years we do not believe in throwing stones away because of minor damage so instead offer them for sale at a significantly reduced price. Empathic warrior crystals are not always available and should this be the case, a refund will be issued before remaining items in the order are processed. For more information read our article on empathic warrior crystals.
