Rich green coloured malachite crystals in medium to large sizes.
Malachite is a soft mineral that must be handled carefully. Being soft makes tumbling difficult so it's not unusual for stones to have minor surface imperfections.
Most of the world's tumbled malachite is produced in industrial sized rock tumblers. With malachite being so soft surface damage is not unusual as stones come into contact with each other.
Although malachite takes on a high polish, minor abrasions or imperfections can often be seen. If these don't come from tumbling it will almost certainly happen as stones are transported and handled.
Being an ore of copper the dust from malachite is toxic. Whilst being cut and polished protective breathing equipment must be worn.
With malachite being a copper mineral it must not be used as an elixir. This is water infused with minerals. If handling rough and dusty specimens it's good practice to wash your hands afterwards. With that said whether rough or polished, malachite is safe to handle and poses no risk to health.
When used for its healing properties malachite is powerful so should be used carefully. It amplifies positive and negative energy and can remove blockages that may be holding you back.
A balancing and protective stone, it can help release memories of past conflicts and traumas.
Stones should not be allowed to get wet. The presence of copper is the reason it's such a strong conductor of energy.
Our malachite crystals are a medium sized stone. Weights and sizes do vary from piece to piece.
Empathic warriors are stones with minor imperfections, usually a chip or distinctive mark. Crystal healers say working with broken or damaged crystals does not affect their energy. The late Judy Hall author of the Crystal Bible says they can be even more powerful so should never be thrown away.
