Tumbled green aventurine also known as aventurine quartz from our exciting collection of crystals rocks and minerals. These exceptionally tactile stones are ideal for collectors and may also be used for their metaphysical properties. All of our tumbled stones come in a colourful protective pouch.
Aventurine is a variety of the mineral quartz characterised by distinctive inclusions that give the stone a shimmering or glistening effect. Correctly known as aventurescence, this optical phenomenon which can be seen in several minerals is caused as light reflects off platy inclusions within the stone. The term platy describes mineral inclusions with a plate-like shape which usually means they're small and flat.
Although the mineral fuchsite (pron' fook~site) tends to be the most common, inclusions in green aventurine can also be lepidolite, hematite, goethite (pron' ger~tite) muscovite or ilmenite. When present in great abundance the mineral inclusions can change the colour of the quartz. The colour in green aventurine is caused by the presence of fuchsite which is a chromium rich mica.

With rocks and minerals having evolved over millions of years we do not believe in throwing them away. These pieces are available to buy at a significantly reduced price. Empathic warriors are not always available. More information can be found in our article on empathic warrior crystals.
