Black Obsidian Tumbled Stones Volcanic Glass
Grade B black obsidian tumbled stones from Mexico. The reason these stones are grade B is because of impurities or inclusions.
Impurities in obsidian are relatively common. In fact the colour of some varieties is determined by the impurities present.
Inclusions which may be tiny bubbles, air or gas can also produce different types of sheen.
The grade or condition of a rock or mineral does not affect its metaphysical properties.
Stones will often be given a lower grade because of inclusions. With that said, inclusions can also lead to some stones being given a higher grade. Certain varieties of included quartz are a perfect example. The greyish-white markings in snowflake obsidian are inclusions of spherulite.
Inclusions can give a stone a unique appearance and may also be aesthetically pleasing. This is certainly the case with our grade B prehnite tumbled stones and also our rhodonite from Pakistan.
When used for its metaphysical properties obsidian is associated with mystery and darkness. It uncovers the truth by cutting through lies and deceit. This stone should be handled carefully because its power may be overwhelming.
Obsidian is volcanic glass which forms from lava that cools and solidifies. This molten rock cooled so rapidly crystals didn't have time to grow.
Our grade B black obsidian tumbled stones are a medium sized stone. Weights and sizes do vary slightly from piece to piece.
