Chunky Malachite Stone Pendant
Polished malachite cabochon crafted in fine sterling silver.
This ladies pendant has been reduced because the gemstone has not been polished quite as well as we would have liked. With that said, it's not something you're likely to notice unless you inspect the stone very carefully.
Polishing malachite is difficult because being an ore of copper the dust is toxic. There's almost no risk at all once the stone has been polished.
Being very soft further complicates matters. Despite all the challenges of working with malachite it has been used for decorative purposes for thousands of years.
