Fossilized Coral Pendant
Also Known as Fossil Coral
Distinctive fossilized coral pendant featuring a meticulously chosen polished cabochon. This natural stone which can be found in Indonesia and along the shores of Lake Michigan in the United States is correctly known as hexagonaria. Known to date back at least three hundred and fifty million years, this species of coral is not the same as the protected and endangered coral that's found today on reefs today in many of the world's oceans.
Fossilised coral is particularly suitable as a gemstone because it's light weight and easy to work with and carefully chosen stones can make unique and fascinating pieces of jewellery. This ladies gemstone pendant has been crafted for Stone Mania in a hand-made sterling silver setting by one of a small team of talented artisans with whom we have been working for almost twenty years.
This piece does have a small firescale mark in the sterling silver which can be seen in our first photograph. For this reason it has been added to our collection of sale jewellery in the Bargain Basement. As with any gemstone pendant purchased from our collection, should you not be totally satisfied with your purchase it may be returned for a full refund (T&C's apply).
