Rainbow Calsilica from Mexico
Rainbow calsilica stone boasting striking blue colour and unique markings. This man-made material was originally claimed to be a natural material from the state of Chihuahua in Mexico.
It was first introduced to the world in 2002 at the famous Tucson Gem and Mineral Show in the USA.
Despite claims that it was a natural stone, chemical analysis soon proved otherwise.
Rainbow calsilica has remained popular and is widely used for decorative purposes.
This colourful patterned stone is mounted in a fine sterling silver setting.
