When choosing labradorite for our collection we try to opt for the finest grade stones. This is mainly because the lower grades don't always exhibit the same quality of iridescence. This beautiful stone is a perfect example of fine grade labradorite. Boasting distinctive striations and magnificent blue and green colour, it's a truly magical piece. This highly polished cabochon sits in a setting of fine sterling silver. Schiller or labradorescence is an optical phenomenon caused as light reflects off fibrous inclusions beneath the surface of the stone. Sadly our photos don't do this labradorite pendant the justice it deserves. This photo on Facebook shows the stone in natural daylight.
