Eudialyte pendant crafted in a simple sterling silver setting. A highly polished relatively rare stone found in just a few locations worldwide.
Eudialyte is a complicated mineral that can be difficult to identify. It dissolves in acid in some cases completely. Some types can be made up of at least forty six different chemical elements. It's classified as a rare mineral.
The red colouration in this stone is eudialyte. The other colours come from the matrix which is the rock in which the mineral formed.
This polished stone was cut from material from the Kola Peninsula in Russia. The vast majority of this region lies within the arctic circle.
