Grey and white coloured gemstones are rarely associated with jewellery and finding nice cabochons suitable to use in our collection is always a challenge. Although poppy jasper is widely used as a gemstone stones are best known for being brightly coloured but occasionally it can also be virtually colourless. These stones tend to be relatively easy to identify because colour and markings vary minimally from one piece to the next.
When choosing this piece for our collection we noticed it wasn't perfectly symmetrical but loved the stone and having been mounted in sterling silver it's really not that noticeable. We have however decided to offer this ladies pendant at a slightly reduced price because of this minor anomaly.
