Tumbled Iron Pyrite Stones

Pyrite is an iron sulphide mineral meaning it's a chemical compound of iron and sulphur.

The name comes from the Greek word ‘pyr’ meaning ‘fire’.  When struck with a hard stone or steel pyrite produces a spark. Since antiquity it has been used for lighting fires.

When used for healing the reflective face of pyrite is said to offer excellent shielding properties against negative energy.

Pyrite can relieve anxiety, frustration and boost self-worth and confidence. It's used to improve mental activity (memory and recall) and to increase energy particularly to overcome fatigue.

These cube-shaped pyrite crystals which come from Spain are a medium sized stone.  Size can vary from piece to piece.  We also have an oblong shaped pyrite tumbled stone.
