Blue Topaz Fine Gemstone Pendants
An exciting collection of tantalising blue topaz pendants featuring a single sky blue coloured gemstone mounted in a hand crafted sterling silver setting. Featuring our own SM (Stone Mania) hallmark from the London Assay Office, each pendant has been made using a fine grade stone that's sure to attract all the attention that it quite rightly deserves. The ladies pendants in our collection have been crafted entirely by hand by one of a small team of talented artisans with whom we have been working for almost twenty years. By using skilled artisans it enables us to sell our women's jewellery at incredibly competitive prices.
The blue topaz gemstones that we have chosen all have very minor imperfections which in most cases are not even noticeable. This has allowed us to create larger sized pendants without having to compromise on the grade of the stone whilst also passing on significant savings to our customers.
Natural blue topaz is very rare so virtually all blue topaz has been heated which causes the mineral to change colour. Although found in a wide variety of different colours, most topaz is colourless and when heated three shades of blue can be produced. The most popular is known as Sky Blue whilst London Blue and Swiss Blue both exhibit a richer and deeper shade of colour.
Topaz is the traditional birthstone for the month of November and blue topaz along with the mineral turquoise is the modern birthstone for December.
Our women's jewellery comes in a stylish gift pouch that will help to protect the gemstone and reduce the build-up of tarnish on the sterling silver. Using a good quality silver polishing cloth occasionally will also ensure any tarnish that may have built up is quickly removed. Never use a chemical silver dip on jewellery that features natural gemstones.
Although we offer a choice of postage options we recommend using a service that includes signature confirmation upon delivery.
All of the Sky Blue topaz gemstones featured in our collection of women's jewellery have been individually chosen prior to being mounted in their sterling silver settings.
Stones either have a concave cut or the more traditional mixed cut and the size of the stones varies from piece to piece. Browsing through the product codes in the dropdown list will enable you to view the entire collection.
Stones featuring a concave cut vary in weight very slightly. For this reason the depth of the hand crafted sterling silver settings also varies. As you browse through the dropdown list you'll be able to see all of the blue topaz pendants in our collection. Specific weights and sizes of each piece are given on the respective pages.
A concave cut features facets which instead of being flat are three dimensional with each one having length, depth and breadth. This method of cutting which uses long cylindrical facets is a relatively new innovation and enables the gemstone to reflect light in a slightly different manner.
