A magnificent cluster of black quartz featuring a mass of terminated crystals in a variety of sizes. Some of the tiniest ones are too small to be seen in our photos.
This black quartz cluster comes from the Ouachita (wosh-i-taw) and Ozark mountains which stretch from west central Arkansas to south eastern Texas in the United States. Embedded in rock matrix and with a partial covering of sparkling calcite crystals, each of the well formed macrocrystalline crystals is unique and magical in its own way. Even the underside has so much to offer.
Sadly our photographs really don't capture the true beauty of this piece but we're certain you'll love having it as part of your collection.
Despite quartz being one of the most abundant minerals on the planet, well formed crystals especially in clusters are always in high demand. The Ouachita Mountains located within the Ouachita National Forest is one of the few areas in the world where large quantities of high quality quartz can be found.
