Deep reddish brown coloured tiger iron stone, highly polished and exceptionally tactile. This piece does have some imperfections but that certainly didn't put us off from choosing it for our collection.
Tiger iron is a relatively hard material made up of layers of tigers eye, hematite and red jasper. Correctly known as a banded iron formation (BIF), this variety can only be found in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. With that said, banded iron formations can be found in many countries around the world.
When used for its metaphysical properties tiger iron is considered to be exceptionally powerful because it combines the energy of three minerals into one stone. Hematite works with the brain to help improve memory, red jasper increases strength and endurance and tigers eye is the ultimate stone for protection. Tigers eye can also be used to strengthen willpower, for courage and for improving self-confidence.
