Labradorite is a stone that never ceases to amaze and fascinate and we love choosing pieces for our collection. This highly polished stone has the smoothest texture so once in your hand, it's really difficult to put it down.
It's also incredibly translucent so when the back of this labradorite stone is held up towards the light you can see right through it. Turn it on its side so the top is facing either up or down and a vivid blue sheen can immediately be seen. This impressive colour does not come from the labradorite but is the reflection of light. It's produced as light reflects off crystals beneath the surface of the stone.
In our first photo this beautifully polished stone is being gently illuminated from different angles by our studio lights. The last photo was taken with nothing more than natural daylight coming through an adjacent window. No filters or enhancements have been made to the stone in any of the photos.
The back of this labradorite stone is flat. It's highly polished and incredibly iridescent on both sides.
