Pyrite Oblong Shaped Crystals

Pyrite also known as fools gold is an iron sulphide mineral.  That means it's a chemical compound of iron and sulphur.

The name pyrite comes from the Greek word ‘pyr’ meaning ‘fire’.  This is because when struck with steel or a hard stone it produces a hot spark. Since antiquity pyrite has been used for lighting fires.

When used for its healing properties the yellow face of pyrite links it to the sun.  It's also considered to be an excellent shield for blocking negative energy.

Pyrite helps relieve anxiety, frustration and boosts self-worth and confidence. It's used to improve mental activity (memory and recall) and to increase energy particularly to overcome fatigue.

Our pyrite crystals are a medium sized tumbled stone.  Size can vary from piece to piece. We only have a small number of these left available and are unlikely to get more in this shape.
