Despite also being called Amazon Stone, it's not found anywhere near the River Amazon. At the time of being named it's believed to have been confused with another mineral that is found there. That stone is reported to be nephrite jade.
These four highly polished amazonite stones fit comfortably into the palm of your hand. They have incredibly smooth texture which makes fascinatingly tactile.
The amazonite stone on the lower right side in our first photo has a slightly richer colour than the other three. It also has some very minor indentations in the surface of the stone. These are surface reaching inclusions and are not as a result of damage. In our dropdown list it's number 2.
Number 1 in our dropdown list has a very small indentation on the edge of the stone. It can just about be seen if you very look carefully. For this reason it has been reduced by 15%.
