Amethyst Gemstone Pendant in Sterling Silver
A stunning amethyst pendant, handcrafted in a fine sterling silver setting.
This premium-grade gemstone features an intricate concave cut. Unlike traditional flat facets, long, curved facets are cut into the gemstone so that it reflects light outwards from the centre. A concave cut enhances brilliance and depth.
The cut is more complex and time-consuming than conventional faceting and leads to a greater loss of the original gemstone. Therefore, it's not particularly popular with stone cutters, but the finished effect is impressive.
Our faceted pendants carry our own SM hallmark from the London Assay Office. Unfortunately, a small number were inadvertently missed during our most recent submission, including this amethyst pendant.
Under UK hallmarking law, silver articles weighing less than 7.78g are exempt from compulsory hallmarking. Although this pendant falls below that legal threshold, we ordinarily choose to have our faceted pendants hallmarked as an additional assurance of their silver fineness and quality.
This amethyst pendant has been reduced purely because we are no longer having jewellery made for us, so are clearing our existing stocks.
