Rhodonite Crystals from Pakistan
Fine grade rhodonite crystals with rich pink colour and the smoothest texture. The distinctive black markings which are fairly common in rhodonite are caused by manganese oxides.

The word rhodonite comes from the Greek 'rhodon' meaning 'rose' or 'rosy'. Although sometimes mistaken for rhodochrosite, the confusion is usually because of the similarity of the two names.
