Natural Citrine from Zambia
Natural citrine from our collection of rocks and minerals. These larger sized tumbled stones are not heated amethyst.
Due to the mineral citrine being relatively rare many commercial grade stones are amethyst that has been heated.
When heated to in excess of 500°C which in mineral terms is not particularly hot, the colour of amethyst begins to change.
Whilst most people expect citrine to be distinctively yellow, the shade can vary quite significantly. The exact cause of the colour is still not known for certain.
The colour of citrine is generally believed to be associated with impurities of aluminium and exposure to radiation. Iron may also be a contributing factor although many questions still remain unanswered.
We only have a small number of these natural citrine crystals left available. They're being offered at a reduced price because most have minor imperfections or anomalies.
If using these crystals for healing purposes it's worth remembering the grade or condition of a stone does not affect its energy.
The late Judy Hall author of the Crystal Bible books said the energy of a crystal that's damaged or broken will often be more powerful.
