Natural Citrine Kundalini Quartz
Kundalini quartz is a type of natural citrine from the Democratic Republic of Congo. There have been reports of it also having been found in Zambia.
This name is only used by those who use crystals for their healing properties.
Before writing about a crystal, rock or mineral I do a significant amount of research to establish exactly what it is and where it's found.
I only use reputable geology related websites such as Mindat, Geology.com and FMF Forum. These sites are used by geologists and mineral experts/enthusiasts around the world.
Having asked a geologist about kundalini quartz I was told it's a type of citrine. It's no rarer than any other type of citrine but is expensive because of its purported metaphysical healing properties.
Being relatively rare natural citrine is already expensive. Add the fact that "kundalini quartz" is regarded as a powerful healing crystal and it's an opportunity to further inflate the price.
Lemurian quartz is expensive for exactly the same reason.
These kundalini quartz crystals have a rusty-brown colour. They're highly translucent so are far more impressive when held up towards the light.
Please bear in mind these are rough citrine crystals. Other than being cleaned they have not been touched.
