Chrysocolla with Malachite - Exceptional Colour
This polished chrysocolla stone combines shades of turquoise with rich green malachite.
Its two faces show completely different patterns, making it particularly unique.
Finely polished with gently rounded edges, it's smooth and incredibly tactile. Chrysocolla is a soft, fragile mineral, so it must be handled carefully.
On the Mohs scale, it grades 2 to 2.5. To put that into perspective, it's about the same hardness as a fingernail.
Chrysocolla occurs in and around copper mines and is often found near deposits of malachite.
