Ruby Zoisite Pendant
Ruby zoisite gemstone pendant featuring a highly polished cabochon mounted in fine sterling silver. This striking gemstone is a combination of the minerals corundum and green zoisite and whilst red corundum is best known as ruby, all other colours are known as sapphire. Ruby zoisite is sometimes referred to as ruby in zoisite and occasionally anyolite although the latter is relatively rare. Mined almost exclusively in Tanzania, ruby zoisite is a popular lapidary material and the blend of two distinctive colours also makes it particularly eye-catching when used as a gemstone.
The reason for this ruby zoisite pendant being added to our Bargain Basement is because there are some scuff marks on the surface of the stone which should have been polished out. Although these are relatively minor, they do become slightly more visible as light reflects of the surface of the stone. These can be seen in our first two photos. Do bear in mind that our photographs are taken with a powerful zoom lens under studio lighting so any marks or anomalies become much more noticeable than they would otherwise be.
This ruby zoisite pendant is unbeatable value for money and is sure to be enjoyed by anyone who loves wearing colourful gemstones but who's too bothered about perfection.
