Ruby Zoisite Pendant
A particularly eye catching ruby zoisite gemstone pendant crafted by hand in a fine sterling silver setting.
Ruby zoisite is a lovely gemstone variety which comes almost exclusively from Tanzania. Although not widely known it's highly sought after and frequently polished as a cabochon or used for carving. A variety of green zoisite which features red corundum (otherwise known as ruby) and also hornblende, it's also known as ruby in zoisite and occasionally anyolite.
One thing that makes this polished ruby zoisite gemstone particularly special is that when it catches the light at certain angles, minute sparkles can be seen as the light reflects off the crystals. The sparkles are quite easy to see but you'll need to have a keen eye and some patience but if you love rocks and minerals, it will be well worth while.
The reason for this ruby zoisite pendant being reduced is because the cabochon slopes down very subtly to the right side but it can only be seen when the pendant is held up horizontally at eye level.
