Ruby Zoisite Pendant
Ladies ruby zoisite pendant featuring a colourful gemstone mounted in a polished sterling silver setting.
Ruby zoisite is also known as ruby in zoisite which is a more accurate description of what it is and occasionally anyolite. It comes almost exclusively from Tanzania and although not widely known, is a beautiful and particularly eye-catching stone that's popular for use as a lapidary material. A variety of green zoisite which features inclusions of red corundum (otherwise known as ruby) and a lesser known mineral called hornblende, it can take on a high polish and when used in ladies jewellery tends to be cut as a cabochon..
A characteristic that makes this ruby zoisite gemstone particularly fascinating is that when it catches the light at certain angles tiny sparkles can be seen as light reflects off the crystals within the stone.
The reason we have added this ladies ruby zoisite pendant to our Bargain Basement is because the cabochon slopes down very subtly to the right side but this can only really be seen when the pendant is held up horizontally at eye level.
