Citrine Pendant

This tantalizing yellow coloured gemstone is often referred to as Golden Topaz which is incorrect as Citrine is a variety of Quartz and Golden Topaz is an entirely different mineral.

Natural Citrine is rare so it's frequently imitated and much of what is available is actually heated Amethyst.  This unusually large gemstone comes from the Rio Grande do Sul region of Brazil which is currently the world's largest supplier of naturally mined Citrine.
