Carnelian Earrings

Earrings were known to have been worn as far back as the Bronze Age and have remained a popular accessory to this day.  Serving little purpose other than personal adornment, they were also popular with the ancient Greeks and Romans.

The prophet Muhammad was said to have worn a silver ring with an Abyssinian gemstone on his right hand which is thought to possibly have been Carnelian hence it is extremely popular amongst those of the Muslim faith.

These pretty Carnelian earrings are crafted in 925 silver.  Carnelian is one of the birthstones for the month of August.
