Aquamarine Pendant

A beautiful piece of Aquamarine which has been perfectly faceted and mounted on a stylish sterling silver setting which was made exclusively for Stone Mania.  This Aquamarine gemstone has a vitreous lustre so it could be described as having a 'glassy' appearance although this is a term which is hated by gemologists, its colour is icy blue and it is also translucent.  The sterling silver setting into which it is mounted carries our own exclusive 'SM' hallmark' from the London Assay Office.  

Aquamarine is part of the mineral group known as Beryl and its name comes from a Latin word meaning 'water of the sea'.  Gemstones can range in colour from green through to blue and the finest grade Aquamarine has a tendency to be more translucent.
