Rhodonite often features inclusions of Manganese dioxide which are the black markings that can be seen in this gemstone. 

This piece of Rhodonite is highly polished and it is also quite finely cut so it is neither chunky or that heavy.

Rhodonite is a popular gemstone and the colour and rectangular shape of this piece certainly make it particularly striking.
