This relatively unknown variety of Amethyst is only found in a few locations worldwide. A blend of Amethyst and milky white Quartz, these distinctive semi precious stones generally boast zigzag type patterns hence are sometimes known as as Chevron Amethyst. These Banded Amethyst pendants from our collection of ladies jewellery are often confused with Derbyshire Blue John, a rare variety of Fluorite. Slightly lighter in colour than some of the other pieces of Banded Amethyst in our collection of gemstone jewellery, this piece is wonderfully translucent so when held up against a bright light, its crystallization can be clearly seen.
