All of our photos are of the actual piece of gemstone jewellery which is being offered for sale. We do not use stock photographs so once something has been sold, the photo is deleted from our website.
Whilst we use the very best equipment to photograph our jewellery, we make no claims to being professional photographers and hence some of our pictures may not be quite as perfect as we would ideally like them to be. Some gemstones, especially those which are chatoyant or iridescent, can be quite challenging to photograph, but we fully appreciate the importance of good quality photos when selling jewellery online.
The vast majority of our semi precious stones are mounted in fine sterling silver which can at times pick up some unwanted reflections. The same goes for some of our dark coloured and highly polished gemstones but we always do our best to avoid these whenever possible.
Although we constantly strive to improve the quality of our photos and are always learning new and better ways in which to take photographs, our business is gemstone jewellery and not photography hence we prefer to spend our time choosing magnificent gemstones and creating incredible pieces of jewellery instead of perfecting how to photograph them!
As all of our jewellery online is unique, no two pieces in our collection are the same, hence as soon as a pendant necklace, pair of earrings, gemstone ring or other item of jewellery is sold, something else will be uploaded to replace it and therefore we do spend a considerable amount of time taking photos.
