It is now pretty well known that Google has always given preference to websites
with numerous inbound links, so in order to obtain good search engine
ranking, webmasters have done everything possible, to obtain links pointing
towards their site. One of the simplest and most popular ways of doing this,
is simply to contact other webmasters to ask if they would like to 'exchange
links'.
However as search engines have become more sophisticated, they have developed
a dislike for this system because it artificially boosts the popularity of a
website. Instead of featuring links that are genuinely useful to a visitor
which was the original intention of 'exchanging links', many websites now
display long lists of links solely to obtain reciprocal links in the hope of
improving their website ranking.
The arrival of new technology has now enabled Google and many other search
engines to combat the effects of artificial link popularity. Google now gives
preference to one way links because they are more likely to be a link which is
of genuine interest. It also prefers links from websites that already have good
page ranking as it is less likely that they will be part of a link exchange
programme.
With this in mind, we are now very careful who we exchange links with and will
only link to websites which may be of genuine interest to our visitors. If you
feel this is the case, then please do submit your details below and we will be
more than happy to consider featuring a link to your website. We are always on
the look out for new and exciting websites and already feature many one way
links.

Google's guidelines state that links should be placed on either the home page or
no further than one click away from it. Our link directory is one click away
from our home page and when we agree to exchange links, we expect our link
partner to be equally compliant. It is also important that the page on which
our link is featured, is at least a Page Rank 3. We regularly check our link
partner's websites and should one of our links be found to be broken or not be
in place, the reciprocal link will be immediately removed.
Google's crawlers
do not recognize text contained in graphics, so we only use text links. We do
