Although Tiger Iron does at a quick glance look extremely similar to Tigers Eye, it is actually a completely different gemstone. Tiger Iron generally features distinctive horizontal or vertical lines where as the patterns in Tigers Eye are rarely uniformed. Tiger Iron also features a significant amount of Hematite which is the dark steely grey coloured mineral and this is rarely seen in Tigers Eye.
